Jacquie has been involved in residential and commercial development since she and her husband, Pasquale began the restoration of the Hood River Hotel in 1988. After working in the hospitality industry until 2000, she got back in to development with the Willow Ponds residential neighborhood. Simultaneously, she and Pasquale have been restoring the historic Union Building in downtown Hood River including 16 residential lofts and several commercial offices. http://www.unionbuildinglofts.com

Jacquie works with various entities in the design, construction and building phases of the Barone projects. She enjoys the creative side of neighborhood planning, interior and exterior design, repurposing of reclaimed materials and landscape design. She has worked on designing and installing private and public gardens as well as green roof installations.

Being involved in all facets of the development process allows Jacquie to create spaces that provide a healthy and sustainable environment for generations to come. She feels the relationships between our interior and exterior areas of our homes play a positive role in our psychological health and a connection to the community.

engineer | klein & associates - elizabeth betz and annie

Elizabeth is a civil engineer and team manager at Klein & Associates. Elizabeth’s areas of expertise include project management, road and trail design, subdivision design, site development, grading, erosion control and drainage plans, and low impact development. She and hydrological civil engineer, Annie Alsheimer have created an enhanced storm water management plan for the Willow Ponds development. Elizabeth’s respect for the natural environment and passion for landscape design has lead her team in creating along side developer, Jacquie, a design that fulfills all the necessary engineering perimeters while enhancing the environment as a whole.

Willow Ponds has had several creative architects and builders lead the way in the design and quality of the homes that currently exist. The first few phases were lead by project architect, Robert J. Simons. Other architects and designers include Klaus Budde, David Bearss, Padden Pritchard, Tim Huberd, Ross Chapin, Kesia Barone, and Tracy Hollister. Builders include Butterfield Designs, Betz and Son’s Construction, Control Point Inc, Jim Mederios, Michael Kitts Homes, Mission Construction, Robert Halderman, John Bartlett, Watts Building Company, Steve Thompson Construction, BrioBuilt Construction and Green Homes Construction. Landscape designers include Jacquie Brown-Barone, Mount Hood Gardens, Kucera Design Landscape Solutions, Andrea’s Garden Works, Richter Landscape, Humble Roots, and Garden Gates.
